1. Only Book when they are advertising flights at a given full price, and only book these flights.
If your chosen flight comes up priced up full of taxes - it's not included in the deal - try another flight or time.
2. Get yourself a Visa Electron card / Post Office Travel Money Card / Entropay.
Co-op Bank / Halifax Bank bank and a few others do Visa Electron. Notethat for the Post Office Travel Money Card and Entropay there is a feefor putting money onto it (so for best bargains get yourself an VisaElectron). My tip is to stick a couple of hundred quid (if you havespare) in the account / on the card, that way you don't have to load itup when a deal you're after comes along.
3. Do not take any "Hold Luggage"
You'll be surprised how much weight 10KG is. You can buy cheapsuitcases that conform to Ryanair's size standard from a variety ofplaces. Sports Direct (or whatever they're calling themselves thisweek) do one for about £8. In my experience, one of these jam-packedweighs around 9kg (unless you're taking lead weights for a divingholiday).
4. Check In Online for both legs of your journey before you go.
Print off the boarding pass (I print 2 in case the bar-code isn't read on one) and keep them safe.
5. Do not take out Ryanair's trave insurance.
When you get to the confirmation page, you click on the box that says"please select country of residence" and select "no travel insurance isrequired"
6. If you have a push-chair then as long as you check-in online, it goes for free.
7. If you don't want to pay silly money on the plane for a snack - eat beforehand, or take your own grub.
Often airport food is expensive. However, most flights are only 2 hoursor so, so you should be able to manage from one meal to the next. You're adults - work it out.
8. You cannot take large amounts of liquids onto planes, so what can I do about toiletries?
Generally 100ml is the maximum size of a liquid container you can takeonto any plane in hand luggage. This does not mean you have to take asuitcase in the hold for toiletries. Personally I use small containers(of the size and type one might find if one stays in a hotel - ahem)and fill them up before each holiday with shampoo / conditioner etc.Alternatively, you can always stock up once you're through security, but that seems expensive and wasteful. Likewise - if you want to takedrinks with you, take an empty bottle, and fill it once you're throughsecurity (most airports do have drinks fountains).
